Looking to come to the states in the 2023 class. UNC watched him play, amongst others.
Not sure of that. He reclassed back a year already, and did mention one key factor he will be looking at in his upcoming decision now is playing time. Looks like all the big boys are in or will be in on him.The advantage with a kid like Furphy is that he wouldn't be expecting starter style minutes in his first year. He'll also be fundamentally sound, having gone to an elite sports high school, and then the Centre of Excellence in Canberra....
That said, Hubert better move quickly and have a good sales pitch... Kansas has offered and Duke, Indiana and others are interested too.
A bummer to hear… I haven’t seen him play but I’d be surprised if Hubert would guarantee playing time… don’t know about other programs. Not sure of that. He will be ranked higher than Nickel, who most thought would be good with getting developing minutes in his first year, but was not. Seems like this kid is expecting early
I doubt any "guarenteed" time as well. I do think he will take into account the rosters and where he is confident he will be able to fit in quickly with court time.A bummer to hear… I haven’t seen him play but I’d be surprised if Hubert would guarantee playing time… don’t know about other programs.
Agreed, but Kansas seems pretty confident. They only have 9 scholarship guys now, maybe 10 if they lift a redshirt. They think he and McCullar can fit well. All the big boys want him, but none of the big boys have a vacant starting spot. Wherever he goes he'll be coming off the bench.
Well, there is this chick named Dorothy...I'm simply amazed that KU is able to recruit like they are. I mean, who the f*ck wants to be in Kansas?
