Although I understand the time crunch on being a student athlete, they, unlike regular students, have the advantage of a support system. There really isn't any excuse for an individual not to succeed academically especially if you have the student athlete support system. Up to the student to do the work.
Well, every Wuff can tell you that UNC cheats for all its athletes, which means it is much easier for them to stay eligible at UNC than at almost any other school. So that means Riley had no trouble staying eligible at UNC.

The faster an offense operates, the more its D needs to have depth, to avoid the D getting tired. D's worn out by late in the 4th quarter and late in seasons is the main reason spread teams can start the year 7-2 and end up 7-5, and lose so many games late.
And if you must make certain you have depth on D to overcome the weaknesses inherent in a spread offense, you must focus on the front and interior of the D, and on DTs even more than MLBs and DEs.
Dabo Swiney saw that light and acted to make certain Clemson had what was needed. We do not have what we need on the DL or at LB. And the signs are not good that we are about to correct that.
