Another superstar player headed to Lawrence so they can be ranked in the top 5 all season long before flaming out in the tournament. Does this help any chances with Ferguson?

"flaming out in the tournament"

Both NC and KU have the exact same tourney record in the last 5 years (12 wins - 5 losses) That's still pretty damn good for these 2 Blue Bloods.

Great get but their incoming class still doesn't quite make up their losses, does it?

In addition to senior starter Ellis and benchers Traylor and Mickelson, they lose underclassmen Selden, Diallo and Greene (all reportedly have agents).

I didn't recognize Greene's name, but he has an awesome eFG% of 70.8 and TS% of 74.7.

Again, as is the case for Furgerson as well, we are well stocked at the wing and the 2, we are 3 deep at each position, those fellas were very talented but they were not going to commit to a program already 3 deep at their position with talent.

Look, wings - Justin, Theo, BRob, Shey Rush as well, and Leaky Black on the way and I think his real position will lend up as a wing or a 4 if he keeps on growing. He is 6'6-7" now, IMO not going to allow him to be a PG but he could be a dynamic wing. He is expected to top out at 6'7" so I don't see him as a power forward.

2 guards - Nate, Kenny, 7th, Surrat as well, AND Jalek on the way

That is not just deep but that is deep with very young guys that are not one & done guys, most likely Juniors or seniors before they leave.

Where we need guys is at the 4 & 5 spots, we need at very least 2 from 2017 and 3 would be better. I STRONGLY suspect we will get a 5star very likely one & done guy for our front court in the 2017 class. We will be VERY attractive to a one & done center or power forward from this 2017 class when you consider both Meeks and Hicks will be seniors next season, we will have that wide open PT the one & done guys look for, even more so than what Ky or duke can show them and that is a HUGE piece of the puzzle. We should have the mystery finally solved over what the NCAA will or will not do to men's basketball and football and that is another big piece of the puzzle.

Ferguson can start over any of our wings except JJ right now!!..but it wouldn't be given to him..would definitely have to work for it!!

It is not nor has it ever been a question of him starting, it is a question of how much PT he will have to split with the guys we already have. No matter who commits to us, heck Lebron could commit and Justin & Theo would STILL get solid PT. It is not as simple as I can start, these one & done kids need to see wide open 30-35mins + available PT for them and you do not get that with a team as deep as we are at the wing or the 2. Number of minutes means more to these 1 & done kids than the promise of a starting spot!

LOL ..... uhhh ...... No -

Have you seen Lebron play? :);):D

If you're the starter..that usually means you're one of the best players on the team..therefore you will get the bulk of those minutes ..especially in crunch time!!

Well I feel dumb.

Who are Shey Rush, Leaky Black and Surrat?

I agree with you on the front line needs and the likelhood of an OAD or at least a ready-to-play top talent up front in the 2017 class.

Wouldn't hurt to have one more big in the 2016 class. Do we have any shot at Jarrett Allen or the foreign kid Yurtseven?

Do you think the NCAA will get off the pot any time soon or are they still holding off to put a damper on recruiting? I mean the longer they wait, the more it looks like the latter. If they act quickly, they can always say they held off so as not to impact our post season play. But the window to claim that is starting to close.

All I've heard for months is it will be a "graduate transfer". Is there any news on who that's going to be, yet?

Allen is probably headed to Texas. Who knows with Yurtseven. Has he even taken visits yet?

I would expect Giddens and Oknoboh out of UNLV to get some looks. Will wait to see who is put on the list of transfers.

UNC hasnt been a 1 or 2 seed all of those years. Kansas underachieves based on their seeding in the tournament more than any other team

Shea Rush (Walk On)

Rechon "Leaky" Black

I don't bave a Basketball link for Surratt, but he's a QB that wants to play both sports, and flipped his commitment from Duke to UNC, for that reason. His brother is a Basketball recruit and may walk on at UNC as well depending on how his recruiting goes (He has a few offers from schools like ECU and a few others).

His brother may have a scholly offer to Yale, maybe academic scholly. Both Chazz & his brother were very respected in both sports but Chazz got hurt and could not play basketball this past season, think I am right about that. In his being out his brother kind of took over leadership of his basketball team and because of that is considered higher than Chazz. I do know this, the 2 do want to play together more so than anything else. Truth is they could do that in either or both sports, they are that talented.

Thanks for the info.

Excited to see what these guys can do for both UNC sports teams.

Chazz did play bball but was not as effective coming off the late season football injury that probably cost them a state title in football..they made a deep run in bball as well before losing in the game before the championship I think

LOVE to get the Brothers as walk-ons but that opportunity to go to the Ivy League on a free ride should NOT be overlooked. What a golden opportunity for a fine young man.
