If this is on the playground and we are alternating picks to make our teams, I pick Hansbrough first.

Why? This group is thin at point, but there are a couple of fine PGs. But there's only one Hansbrough.

So I pick Hansbrough first, knowing that Marcus or Joel will be available on my next turn.

Starting 5:

Joel
Marcus
Jackie
Brice

Agree that Hansbrough is obvious. Joel and Marcus was the best dual-lead guard combo Roy has had. I’m going Jackie because of defense, obviously. Just like in ‘05, this team would have no lack of scoring. Lastly, Brice’s senior season was one of my fondest memories from the Roy era. What a pleasure it was to see him finally bloom.

Second team:

Theo
Cam
Danny
Luke
Zeller

Awesome second 5. Theo played his best ball as a senior in the point forward role. Cam and Danny are instant offense off the bench. Luke’s junior year almost got him on my first team, but Brice’s senior year trumps that IMO. Ditto for Zeller. He actually won ACC PoY, but, again, Brice. Did I mention how awesome Brice was as a senior?

Reserves (3):

Melvin
Noel
Jawad

Easily the toughest decisions, but I went sentimental. These three meant so much to the program’s return to prominence and Roy’s transition back to Chapel Hill (and they were darn good ballers at that).

Nice prompts today, WWJD.

Here is my full roster of 12 players.

Starters:

PG - Joel Berry
SG - Marcus Paige
SF - Danny Green
PF - Tyler Hansbrough
C - Tyler Zeller

Bench:

PG - Theo Pinson
SG - Kenny Williams, Jackie Manuel
SF - Cameron Johnson
PF - Brice Johnson, Luke Maye
C - Kennedy Meeks

Paige
Danny
Cameron
Psycho-T
Brice

Shooting, defense, rebounding, shooting -
starting five that plays great team defense.

Joel
Theo
Jackie/Kenny
Luke
Zeller
Jawad
Meeks
David Noel

backups that you have amazing flexibility with: more defense, great backup pg that would put pressure on other teams backups, offense in zeller, Luke and Joel.

Berry
Paige
Noel
Hansbrough
Zeller

Green
Cam Johnson
Pinson
Meeks
Jawad
Bryce Johnson
Frasor
Manuel
