Observations:

Traffic was brutal and moo was already scoring second TD as we made our way to our seats.

Trubisky just didn't have it today. Short on a lot of throws and Receivers made some really nice catches on short/low throws. Receivers also dropped way too many.

Trubisky bad decisions: On the drive in the 3rd where we turned it over on downs Trubisky waited too late to commit to the run and let the DB get the angle on him and was <1 yard short on the 1st down. We subsequently couldn't get that 1 yard for the 1st. Big game changer.

The 2nd straight rivalry game and we get the ball with a chance to tie or win and don't even get close. Bad throws and mistakes today on the last drive.

Our OL is incapable of run blocking. Hood and Logan get most of their's on their own.

State's OL and DL kicked sand in our OL and DL's faces.

Our linemen are not well verses in getting under the opponent's pads and getting blocking/control leverage.

Does anybody know how many yards we averaged on 1st down?

We were playing behind the sticks , it seemed like all day long.

We just made a decent season into a season that leaves the taste of shit in the mouth. 0-2 in-state rivalry games. Losing 2 of last 3 stinks , even more so being moo and dook that we lost too.

Anybody still think we could beat VT on a dry field? I don't.

Why can't our DB's play as aggressively as moo's

Hopefully we saved Doeren's job.

Oh well the basketball team is looking damn good.

I'm finished venting.

On our first 12 first down plays, we gained a total of 24 freakin' yards. That's putting yourself behind the chains too much.

I can't express the extent of my frustration with the staff and players right now.

"What do you think about the execution of your players, coach?"

"I'm all for it."

No excuse for how bad the offense was the last three games. All the returning starters? Does having Hollins on the field make that much of a difference. Offense was awesome vs. GT and then basically sucked the rest of the year against pathetic competition. Fedora needs to get a real OC.

Our defense sucks! Worst tackling team ever. Out of position always. No excuse for backs to be getting 5 to 8 yards before they even see a defender. Our DB's couldn't cover my fat ass. Truly disgusted by the Moo and Puke games.

Well said. I dunno how fat your fat ass is, but, I believe you.

There's absolutely NO excuse for beating both FL teams in their house and lose to moo at home... NONE! I think the defense is as bad as it was when Chizik showed up.

Please tell me you don't honestly believe that. There is only two reasons why someone would believe that. Either they haven't watched UNC games the last three years or they don't know shit about football.

The defense is still the weak link. I'm not impressed by the Chiz.

They are the weak link, but you do understand why that is right? It's not just they suck. If you can't look at what our defense was before he got there and where it is at now and not think we are headed in the right direction then your expectations are insane.

I understand that the defense was rock-bottom when he got here. So, there was no going down. There was only one "direction" to go. But, his trajectory is too low.

I don't think it's realistic to say the trajectory is too low considering what they had/have to deal with:

1. Horrible attitude due to the previous staff and poor results.
2. Horrible coaching by the previous staff
3. Average (at best) talent on the defensive side of the ball
4. Switch to a new scheme using average talent that wasn't recruited for the new scheme
5. Lack of depth
6. It's only been two years

If you take all of that into account there is no reason to freak out about the current state of the defense. Realistically, there is no need to make a final judgment about how well the current staff has performed before year 3 is completed. If there is no improvement by the end of next year, then you can start to think about making changes. It's just too soon to do that now in my opinion.

Well, we have you to balance it all out. I didn't know there was a 4-year rule.

1. In my scenario it would be a 3 year rule, not four.
2. I clearly stated that it was my opinion.
3. I don't think you can say that any of my 6 points were inaccurate, but I'd love to hear so if you think they were.

I see the results on the field, game-in, and game-out. The lack of defense loses games. If you're convinced that Chizik's presence is going to pay-off next season, then you're far more optimistic than I am.

I'm not sure if it's going to pay off next season or not. All I am saying is that given everything that the staff had/has to deal with, I think they should be given more than 2 years before people declare that they have failed.

........I kind of thought form tackling, angles of pursuit, and positioning where really started being hammered in by middle school ball. By the time the reach major D1 ball it should only really be about scheme.
