With Paige out and the guards shooting from the outside being well to be nice pretty bad someone had to step up and help Brice Johnson with the scoring.I have never liked Jackson just waiting around the perimeter waiting to get the ball so it was refreshing to see him in the paint so much last night which resulted in 6 offensive rebounds and a bunch of easy baskets. His scoring the last two games has been great but so has interior passing and his aggressiveness going to the hole. When Paige comes back Jackson's game will probably rise even more.

Justin played some very good ball last night, some of his on court decisions were beautiful to watch, like the time he slid low behind the zone, caught pass, basket. Sure is fun to watch this team...

Dakich praise of Justin Jackson was spot on. He was constantly in motion and always finding the soft spot in the zone. His game, especially his knack with the floaters is well suited to absolutely demoralize a zone.

I'm just glad he rebounded the ball so well last night. I'm sure Hubert was as well. 21 and 13 is a monster game. I'd like to see him get to where he is averaging about 6-7 boards a game. That alone is going to increase his PPG simply by the fact that he is so good with those quick shots in and around the basket. I look for him to play well again tonight against Kansas State. Hopefully Meeks will be more of a presence on the boards tonight. 2 rebs total for Meeks in a game is not gonna cut it. I'd rather have Hicks in there if he isn't going to rebound the ball better.

THIS is the Justin Jackson that had people saying he was a top 10 NBA pick before last season. He needs to stay this aggressive all season. He can score 17-18ppg even when Paige comes back.

Exactly. It seems that Britt's shot has trended back to the median. He's taking about 7 shots per game. That needs to trend back to the 3-4 per game range with Jackson getting the remainder. He can eat zones alive.

Leave Pinson alone! Don't tinker with that shooting stroke...lol.

Jackson another big game and clutch free throws late. How he gets lost in the paint which leads to easy layups is astonishing.

When you watch him real time, and then again on the replays, it is just awesome to watch how SMOOTH and under control he is, even / especially when he leaves his feet with the ball, jumping toward the basket. Just a silky smooth finisher.... nothing herky jerky in his shot, and takes his (hang) time in the air to collect himself and draw nothing but net, instead of rushing and just hoping to draw iron or glass or get fouled. Also he has such a quick release in the paint, that he's hard to block.

I think his game translates to the NBA the best of any guy we have on the team right now, including Brice and Paige.

I agree with you his upside in the NBA is greatly than Paige and Johnson. With the right team he could be a Danny Green clone. Hope everyone enjoys this season watching him play in Carolina blue because unless he sticks around like Hansbrough did to work on a particular part of his game he will be drafted in the first round.

How about Luke Maye getting some crunch time minutes. That kid is gonna be good off the bench.

Justin Jackson needs to leave and he will leave. He is a lotto pick.

Jackson dominates the background. Like many of his scouting reports he deceptively tears you apart. Watching last night I though he had about 12-14 points. I go to update the career stats on my spreadsheet and he has 22?!

There is only only one other player in the college ranks that was more effective over the past 3 games under the basket and that is Ben Simmons of LSU. Jackson over the last 3 games has put up POY stats. This kid is special. Carolina Way kid all the way.

Was thinking the same while watching the game. Kid has potential AA oozing through his veins and the numbers are now matching.
You're also right, Simmons is the top of the pile right now and it's daylight in second.

Thisis what I saw about him in the McDonald's All-☆ game.

Nate started rushing some of his shots in the last couple games, he is not the same shooter when he rushes it, he is that spot up guy that receives the pass from inside back out for the squared up jumper. He is not a shot creator, reminds me a little of Melvin Scott in that respect. But when you have a paige and Jackson out there that demand shooter respect, nate can give you big time value. Notice, when Joel Berry drops a couple shots and defense is forced to respect him that Nate tends to get better looks that he drains. Theo or Nate are not going to get as much shooter respect from the defenses and by the way Joel is going to get a ton of wide open looks when Marcus comes back.

Shot selection to me is a huge key, a huge key for this season in fact. For example, I like Jackson much more as a inside operator and a guy that hits those floaters than I do as a 3pt shooter, he tends to rush his 3pt looks when defenders fly out to him, play hard & fast but don't rush! That absolutely applys to Nate as well !
