Pulled this from the Positives & Concerns to get people's takes on his play of late:
Justin Jackson – He’s doing it again. Wednesday made it five consecutive games where Jackson resembled the player that closed last season playing exceptionally well. Prior to a win at Boston College two weeks ago, Jackson scored in double figures in just six of eight contests, and really hadn’t been very productive since winning the MVP of the CBE Classic in Kansas City in late November.
But on Wednesday, he scored 17 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and handed out 3 assists. In the last five games, starting with the BC game, one in which he didn’t start, Jackson has averaged 15.8 points on 33-54 (61.1 percent) shooting, including 9-16 (56.3 percent) from 3-point range, grabbed 23 rebounds (4.6 per), handed out 22 assists (4.4), and turned over the ball just twice.
Jackson said it was a matter of cutting the cord to the past, something he did before the BC game.
“I just try to forget everything in the past,” Jackson said. “Whether it's a missed box out or it's a turnover, whatever it is, I just try to keep on playing and just try to be aggressive and just play my game.”
