K. Willams

Is it to late for him to be redshirted?

Oh by far to late, if you play in any regular season game then you can not redshirt without being injured. If you play and get injured before your team has played 30% of your games (that includes the post season) you can get a medical red shirt as long as you do not play in any games at all for the rest of the season.

Not that it matters in Kenny's case - since he has appeared in 22 games - but I thought the 30% was of the regular season games - or generally around 10 games.

If I recall correctly, Bobby Frasor couldn't get a red shirt even though he only played in 12 games in our 39-game 2008 season. Technically 30% would have been 11.7. So they could have been jerks and not rounded up (which would have made him eligible). But I seem to recall being told at the time that the 30% only applied to the regular season, so that Bobby really didn't miss just because they wouldn't round up.

Then again, I may be remembering wrong.

So is Marcus's 3 point shot eligible for a medical red shirt?:p:D

... and Kenny could still end up helping us down the stretch.

Don't see why Kenny should redshirt. Sure, he's had limited minutes and some DNP games but hey, he's a modestly ranked frosh at a blue-blood school..... just because he hasn't put up spectacular numbers doesn't mean he shouldn't play this year.
He might only want to be at school for 4yrs so why stick around for longer?
He might like the game time he's getting and feel he'll be better prepared as a frosh by being there now.
Lastly, if you were Kenny would you want to redshirt? Play sparingly in a natty contending year or get more minutes in a rebuilding year..... a pretty easy one for me.
