Keion Joyner no longer on Havelock team

How many HS coaches allow a mere 'misunderstanding' to cost him a 5* HS All American?

Good night John Boy , Good night Jim Bob...but seriously dismissed from the team and a secret team in his final 5????

Do not want. Period. And I felt this way before this incident. Lots of people, whose evaluations I trust, have soured big time on KJ's play/potential the past year.

So an alledged 5-star Senior who should be leading his team to a state title, quits on his teammates, and blames the Coach for a mis-understanding?

Sounds like a bonafide pri-madonna too me, and one the Tar Heels can certainly do without....

Carolina don't need drama queens, they need football kings!

Especially as we now have the D playing sound team football, with good attitudes. One giant ego could ruin that.

I actually kinda agree with this. If the kid comes in knowing he's on an extremely short leash he might get his act together. Assuming this was an isolated incident.

But lets be honest, he'll probably end up somewhere in the SEC since the standards are more lax.

I don't want him due to on-the-field concerns, not off....

He is not even listed as "warm" for UNC anymore on a certain other site that many on this board have an agenda against. Neither is Lawrence.

As for Joyner I trust the coaches will make the right decision on him. Would love to have him

What's happening with Lawrence I thought we were in pretty good shape with him?
For whatever reason, it just isn't clicking between either party. There's a ton of rumors circling, but IMO he goes to Florida. He's been a fan for awhile IIRC, and they're having a great year right now, especially their defense.
