Back at UNC as full-time student working on degree.

Looking to get into coaching also.
At practice every day, watching, listening, in film study, taking five courses toward finishing his degree...good for him and Tar Heels.
LOVE to have him on our bench one day. Get that degree Butter, it has to begin there.
He and Cota the best passers we've ever had. IMO.
Really wish Jalek was still here so Butter could put him under his wing.
Plus he could be a good word of advise for the guys thinking about leaving early, that don't need to.
I mean he made the right decision. He was a lottery pick and just injured his wrist pretty badly - as well as having the whole team graduate or leave for the draft. Couldn't really improve his stock anymore if he stayed.
Roy has some really good guys over on the bench now, with an addition of Kendall he is arranging all the pieces to continue the Tar Heel Traditions and Legacy.
Or he could've stayed, like most UNC fans "wanted" him to do. Then with the injuries he had, he would've never played in the NBA. Would've never made those millions either but hey he played for UNC an extra 2 years.
Looks like it's working out for him so far. He didn't make it, but he got paid. Now he earning his degree towards coaching. Something that can benefit him and possible UNC as well.

Sounds like an east transition from Coach on the Floor to Coach! With some seasoning, and then a HC stint at another major program, we could be looking at a worthy successor at UNC!

Roy gave a really great compliment to Kendall last night on Roy Williams Live saying that he was one of the three smartest basketball players he ever coached at UNC in addition to Bobby and Sean because all three knew what everyone on the floor was supposed to do.
And go figure, Sean is now on the staff, Bobby has gotten into coaching and Kendall is working towards it. I think Kendall would be one heck of a recruiter and really be able to relate to our guys in a great way both on and off the court. He is definitely someone that I would be super happy to see sitting on the sidelines sharing his experiences and his high basketball IQ with our guys. Also, I tip my hat to Kendall for coming back to get his degree right after finishing playing, another testament to who he is as a person.

Not sure of that. I think he gave it a go, and more power to him. Strike while the iron is hot in his case, not much of a NBA game overall, so make what you can of your shot. If you are a straight shooter in how you do it, you can always come back and finish. Good on him all the way around, bright future!!!

It's sad that the education that accompanies a basketball scholly is so undervalued today considering what a low percentage of college players that will ever make a dime in the pros.
We talk about Theo and Luke and will they get drafted like that's their only option and ambition in life. Maybe they'd like a profession that benefits others in our society more than just being rich entertainers.
