During his radio show Monday night, Roy Williams had the following to say about sophomore big man Kennedy Meeks, who injured his left knee in Saturday's win over Arkansas:

"It's not good. He did not practice today. We don’t know what it will be later in the week. He did not practice today at all. We’ll just have to wait and see. They’re not completely ruling him out, and they’re not saying he can play. Let me say it that way: I don’t think we’ll have him, but we’ll just have to wait and see.”

From our report earlier Monday afternoon...

Roy's presser just ended several minutes ago. Here is what's up with Meeks:

An MRI was performed and a doctor met with Meeks at 2:30 to discuss the matter. Williams was expecting to learn more later in the afternoon. The staff is still calling it a "sprained knee" but Williams also said with respect to that terminology he doesn't even know what that means.

The coach has seen Meeks since the team returned from Jacksonville very early Sunday morning

"I don't expect we'll know anything unless something really bad came out for the next couple of days."

The coach also said that even if Meeks missed Tuesday's practice it doesn't mean he couldn't play in Thursdays game (7:47 tip, TBS).

"But if he doesn't practice Wednesday it'll be hard to play on Thursday," Williams added.

Meeks got treatment and was in the pool Sunday and he feels a lot better than he did after the game, Williams said.
