Kenny Williams

Supposedly tore the MCL in his same knee this morning.
Day-old news in previously zapped thread (for whatever reason). That he hurt it is pretty certain, what is uncertain is whether it's another tear requiring another surgery or a tweak. I suppose the official prognosis will be made known soon enough...

Why did the other thread get deleted?

It fell below the 17% rating on Rotten Tomatoes . . . the mods are contractually obligated to delete such. ;)

Is an injury even confirmed at this point? Nothing on Huffman or KW's injuries in the last 4 days is making me optimistically skeptical.

Great to hear! Wing depth is something we shouldn't be struggling for this year, but I really want to see what Kenny can do in a full season. Liked his progress a lot last year.

Read he's had successful surgery and is expected to be ready for fall practice. Let's hope so.

Yeah, most are reporting it wasn't as bad as originally thought. Expected to be ready for practices.

...and speaking of Wing depth, Roy has the luxury of bringing Kenny back slowly. This could pay long-term benefits by getting more early minutes for 7th (off he ball) and Andrew.

Even if he's cleared for full run by say, mid-September, given his recent history I would err on the side of caution and let Kenny work back to full conditioning. I want that guy back for a full season instead of losing him again.

Torn ligament or torn meniscus? Makes a huge difference ..... not lig I hope!

The real tuff part of this for Kenny is having the whole off season on the shelf he is not able to work on those parts of his game that really needed tuning, specifically being more consistent as a shooter, more aggressive on the offensive end. When you are trying to hold off talents like Jalek, BRob, and 7th the last thing you need is to be on the shelf for the whole off season.
