I'd take JP before I'd take the Harrisons. I'm serious. That one has some moxie and hit some timely shots last year. But I was largely unimpressed by them the whole time they were there. At least JP has world class athleticism.
I agree, dick, and some draft analysts do as well. JP definitely has more upside
As for UK, I guess it's a good year for Cal to have that "combine" after all...

I have no special love for Cal, but how can you call it a mockery? One and done or not, I guarantee you that if UNC could have gotten anyone of those kids, the red carpet would have been rolled out upon their arrival in Chapel Hill. Cal just plays the recruiting game the way it is set up. Get the best players.
Do you think any one of those players from Kensucky that just declared for the NBA has stepped one foot into a classroom this semester? I call it a mockery when a College of higher education becomes a basketball factory! The college game is becoming so much like the pro game and that to me sucks!!!!! Get rid of the one and done..make the kids go to college for a minimum of 3 years and the college game will improve tremendously!!!! I absolutely call it a mockery what call is doing and the NC2A is allowing it to happen and K has decided to join the game I am NOT in favor of Roy playing the game that Cal is ..
The most galling thing about KY is their almost PERFECT APR rating from the NCAA. THAT is an absolute joke their kids go ONE semester to school and that is IT

Who says they only go to one semester? I always hear this thrown out, but I have never seen proof of it. Townes for instance, is an excellent student who most definitely attended/attends class in the spring semester. I am sure some are better students than others, like at all schools, but that doesnt mean they don't attend class. UK's basketball team has had an average GPA of over 3.0 in 7 of the last 8 semesters.
I'm all for playing the recruiting game anyway that will get us back on top the college basketball world.... We need better players.. I don't care if the are o e and dones or not.

I have no idea what UK players are doing as far as class goes and I don't care. I also have no idea what Carolina players are doing and I seriously doubt anyone else does either. Furthermore, any UNC fan who brings up any other school's academics at this point is a dolt. We have lost the ability to disparage any other institution as far as education and athletes goes and not because we did anything wrong by having all those easy classes. But the fact is that everyone has all those easy classes and if you are trying to pretend Carolina is different, then you look like a hypocrite and a fool.
I just find it funny people throw out this information about UK and classes, with out any knowledge of the situation. By all accounts, a lot of those UK kids are good kids that do it the right way When you look at most of their one and done players, how many of them get in trouble off the court? Davis, Wall, Cousins, Gilchrist, Cousins, Randle, Noel, etc. Maybe there is a minor thing here or there that I cant think of, but all of those guys seem to be true pros who have represented themselves well. Yet for some reason, people still like to bash the players at UK, with no justifiable reason to do so. Just because they play for a different school, doesn't mean they don't do things the right way. Wisconsin has the lowest graduation rate of any team in this past tournament, including graduation rate of 0% for African American players, but I never hear that brought up. But for some reason people like to throw out completely unconfirmed shots at UK, because they have a lot of future NBA players. It makes no sense. If someone has a problem with the one and done (and I do have issues with it too), then take it up with the NBA. It is not the fault of the NCAA or their coaches to basically play with the hand that is dealt to them, and it also doesn't make it right to throw out false information.

Calipari may have done wrong in the past, but Kentucky recruits itself. I doubt he has to color outside the lines at all to get the top recruits. Getting mad at Calipari is like getting mad at the guy who buys a cute puppy and takes it to the park and girls line up for him. He just plays the game better than you, and you're upset about it.
That's it. It isn't Cal's or UK's fault that the system is broken. I've lost interest in college b-ball overall with the current situation but I don't begrudge anyone taking advantage of it.
