Glad to see him doing well, will always be a Tar Heel, even though things did not work out for him while he was here. Maybe he will play more, once he shores up his defense.

Just got through watching DePaul knock off Minnesota. Dawson Garcia had 19 points and 6 boards, but struggled shooting for the night. Really rough start, like 2-9, but to his credit he played hard and started to get a groove, but wasn't enough to get the comeback. I wish them both well.

Just got through watching DePaul knock off Minnesota. Dawson Garcia had 19 points and 6 boards, but struggled shooting for the night. Really rough start, like 2-9, but to his credit he played hard and started to get a groove, but wasn't enough to get the comeback. I wish them both well.

I saw his numbers for the first game and was glad to see him do well (on paper). After 3 games, he is averaging 17.7 pts, 7.0 rebs and shooting 38.5% from deep. Not too shabby - although only DePaul was serious competition.

For those here who may have been cynical about Dawson's reasons for leaving and transferring, I notice that he's staying very close to home. I don't know exactly where he lives and didn't bother to look up where U Minnesota is situated, but the 2 towns are only 10-15 miles apart.

Hope Garcia does well! UNC is a great place to go but it.isnt the right fit for everyone! I choose to believe his claims and continue to wish him well!
