I know the rumor Is that Knox is a Duke or Kentucky lean. And TCU is going hard for Vanderbilt. I feel when it's all said and done Roy will get one of them.

I say we splurge and take both!

Knox may not be leaning as hard as advertised so I have some hope there. I have no feel what so ever about Mr. Vandy but I love his game!

If we get anybody, it's probably Knox. He says he doesn't buy into the packaged deals, and it looks like that might be true. Hopefully he doesn't break our Feb. visit.

Whatever the connection that Vanderbilt has with TCU regarding a family member being employed by them seem to be the driving factor in their recruitment. Can't imagine we'll beat that out, regardless of what we can offer in PT.

Realistically, we probably get neither.

I don't think we have a shot at all at Vanderbilt so Knox would be my answer. However, he is going to Duke IMO.

Knox, but we have to really show him something at the OV to make that happen. Justin is doing his part so far.

Knox. I think there's a culture within the current Heels that resonates with him.

Better chance @ Knox, because 5% > 1%. But when I heard his family asked Duke if they wanted to go first or last with the OVs, thought that sounded promising for Duke. He'd fit in really well at the 3 and 4, we've been fortunate to have a string of guys that worked well in that role, he seems a perfect fit.

Seriously with that handle??? Why not add LakersCowboysYankees or you could just call yourself FRONTRUNNER.

I feel pretty comfortable saying that if Knox was forced to choose a school today, he would go to UNC.

I agree with CJ, I hope you are right to because that kid would dramatically change the perception of our class and IMO the dynamic of our team for next season. It would allow us to start he and Theo together along with Tony similar to Theo and Justin but Knox is more of a 4 with wing skills, where Justin is more of a wing that can steal some time at the 4th in a crunch but not where you want him for long.

KNox is a hybrid, wants to play more face the basket is why you see him say he wants to be more of a wing but he wil play the 4 if he can play more face up rather than back to.

I would disagree.
I respect your opinion as much as any Blue Devil fan's. Do you think Knox goes to Duke? Also, do you think these guys are gone after this year?

Tatum? IMO, yes.
Giles? IMO, yes if he has even a decent season after he returns.
Bolden? IMO, he'll return for one more year unless he really blows up.
Jackson? IMO, it could go either way.
Allen? IMO, yes.

I think the CURRENT order for Knox is 1) Duke 2) UK 3) UNC 4) FSU

Again, that is at the moment. He is expected to sign in the spring and a lot can change between now and then. I'm certainly not saying he won't go to UNC. Capel has built a strong relationship here and Duke has really pitched the idea of him being the next in the lineage of Winslow, Parker, Ingram, Tatum, mold and both he and his family have been very receptive to that. I think if UK lands Vanderbilt that may eliminate them from Knox and UNC might be bumped up to #2 in that scenario. Again, I am not saying his a lock to Duke or anything.......just my $02 based on our staff's visits, conversations, etc.

For your second question on whether those guys leave.

Tatum - Yes
Giles - Yes
Jackson - Maybe (but I lean toward him coming back a second year to be more featured)
Allen - Yes
Bolden - Maybe (this is the trickiest one because the plan was for him to be OAD and he is projected first round / borderline lottery but has not looked as good coming back from the injury. He is slow and out of shape and will need to really get it together to keep that first round status. As of right now, he isn't getting much burn and when Giles returns next week that may get him even less minutes.)

Hopefully the idea of being a great player named Knox at UNC trumps the idea of being another in a line of similar peeps at puke!

Some youngsters are trendsetters not followers and I feel Mr. Knox fits that mold. This is where my hope comes from. The family also realizes that UNC is a clear path to the lottery for Mr. Knox just like any other Blue Blood! Next Spring after JJ leaves the spot for him is clear and he might just want to come here and get to the Natty!

Looks like we're in agreement then. Thanks.

He may see Theo as the natural heir to the SF position. The PF slot will be wide open but I don't think he sees himself as a true PF. Perhaps as a stretch four, but that is something the Devils have used much more than we have. Still think they have the advantage here but we'll see. I think we have a shot with Knox or Vanderbilt but it's a long one, in the range of say a thousand yards.

I love me some TP, but he would not scare Knox away. TP has proven to be versatile enough to play where he is needed. He can play 2-4 for us and Knox would just have to guard the 4, not play it on O!

Looks like we will get a couple more chances to impress mr. Knox before his OV. His high school team is playing in the John Wall invitational in Raleigh. His team has 1 practice in the Dean Smith Center, and 1 in Hansbrough Indoor Stadium (Cameron). His high school team will also be in attendance for the Monmouth game.
