The Rams are back for another failed attempt at establishing a pro football fanbase in L.A. I'm sure we'll get around to what it means for the league. But when I heard the news, I immediately thought of Jim Everett - the best L.A. Rams QB. And then I immediately thought of this:

Speaking of the Rams, did y'all hear about this?

I'm kind of excited about the Rams' move. I love that L.A. Coliseum. And "L.A. Rams" just works for me. L.A. Chargers?...not so much.

I was a Ram's fan as a kid because of Roman Gabriel being from Wilmington...also was Lakers because of Wilt and Jerry West...and then Dodgers just because they were in LA I guess...but I never could pull for St. Louis Rams

St. Louis needs the Cardinals back. and Conrad Dobler.

Everything I've heard about Kroenke seems like he's a grade A d-bag, but I could be off base on that.

I wonder what will happen first, St. Louis gets another NFL team to attempt to make it in that city, or the Rams leave LA again?

I figure the Rams will be financially tied to LA for at least a decade, and we know the Raiders/Chargers are looking to make moves, and any city has to be better for the NFL than Jacksonville. I'd be interested to see if STL is picked as a relocation city for some team before London (which is the NFL's wet dream, but pretty infeasible due to travel, etc.).

I find this whole thing to be pretty dumb, but I also wasn't alive (enough to comprehend) the whole L.A. Rams Part 1 thing and the 'mystique' that supposedly existing around that franchise.

Of course, I'm also one of very few people my age who isn't enamored with one day moving to the West Coast, so maybe that's influencing my view on this.

To me it's just the NFL being money whores; AKA they're conducting business as usual.

Rather bizarre that lawrence phillips kills himself the day this happens. He always represented the ineptitude of the franchise as they traded marshall faulk and drafted phillips as his replacement

I'd love to see the Cardinals back in St Louis.

I just never felt right about the teams leaving the cities I knew as a kid. Baltimore Colts just sounds cool. Houston Oilers, too. These expansion teams are okay, but I even had reservations about Seattle and Tampa Bay when I was a kid of 10/11 and these two new teams showed up.

I'm down for teams moving back to wherever, but I think it would be confusing if the teams have the same name as another sports team in that city. St Louis Baseball/Football Cardinals, New York Baseball/Football Giants, etc. I realize that's how those teams started, but it's nice to not have the confusion without needing to specify the sport.
