He is a native of Hickory, NC, and he did get an offer from us. When healthy, he has been very good for FSU. He seemed unsure about the coaching change before his injury last year. He agreed to stay at FAU in late February after putting his name in the portal. Now he is back out there, but with a Do Not Contact. That means he must have an idea or two about where he would go.

His name is Landon not Lanson...assume that is a typo.

He has had injury issues the last three seasons..

2016...tore ACL & missed 5 games

Missed the last 9 games of 2017...injury

In 2018 he missed all but the season opener...injury

He is a good OL when he plays...but he has missed significant time every year.

The kid didn't play last year..except one game...and has been fragile and missed a bunch of games in his career....

The FSU OL was bad, and had a plethora of injuries. They did have a OL coach that was bad enough to be let go and replaced with Randy Clements...who coached Houston last year (#5 in offense nationally).

Having 4 star Abdul Bello move ahead of him at RT had to bother Landon (both are seniors).

As for breaking into the Bama starting lineup....he probably will not.

He will be a good back up if he has recovered and stays uninjured. He hasn't played in a year.

"While he arrived as a four-star recruit and flashed plenty of potential at FSU, consistency on the field was never something the 6-foot-6, 320-pounder could ever find. Dickerson started the 2018 campaign for the ‘Noles but wound up redshirting after the opener with an injury and was knocked out of the two seasons prior to that with lower leg injuries in both 2017 and 2016.

Alabama’s offensive line seems pretty solid heading into the season but depth is mildly concerning given the youth behind veterans like Alex Leatherwood and company. That’s likely where Dickerson, should he stay healthy, come in for the Tide."

And as an aside on "free agency"....

We will be seeing a lot of this...From Jalen Hurts at Bama to Sails at UNC....seeking other opportunities.

I wish the best for Landon, he has had a very disappointing career so far. He has been injured so much that he hasn't had the normal progression that a player of three years would have....I hope that by playing backup line at Bama for a year...he might break in, with seasoning and a Bama injury, into the starting lineup and get an NFL look.

He could probably start at smaller schools... Maybe he wants to get into coaching or something though.
