Traveling from the Nashville area to the Triangle area for a UNC baseball and football weekend, I decided to call several old friends while passing through East Tennessee. One is a stout Kentucky fan. He told me I didn't root hard enough for his Kittens. My response was a 38-1 record was pretty good. He replied that tha 1 needed to be earlier in the season than during one and done. Then I mentionrd UK was going to have opportunity to retool with 7 players departure. His response, "What I don't' understand is why a youngster at UK, playing basketball for a top notch program, enjoying college life, would leave early to take a pay cut to leave and go play in the NBA?"
