I thought this would be about whether we hate Dook or maybe Moo more.
The 8-20 UNC team was the perfect storm that even Dean Smith would have struggled to overcome. Recruiting had gone down under Guthridge, as had team discipline. And players had picked up the year before that Doherty was opposed by about half the athletics department staff before he ever coached a game, which players who wanted to go rogue knew meant that they could get away with it.
This team has regressed a big deal from that late season run last year. But it is no worse than. this team was early in Davis's opening season as HC. This team has much more talent than the 8-20 team, nd it has major exoperi3ence doing well in the Tournament. But is plays stupid basketball much of the time, and at times seems to have no real desire - it is complacent.
Does Davis have it in him to keep a program running smoothly at the Top?
The 8-20 team wasn't hateable for me. The results were, but not the actual team. Bacot is really the only starter that is likable to me. I'll be fine when the other four leave. Hopefully that will be after this year.
RJ's points would be great off of the bench. Lots of heart but he has a LOT of limitations to his game.
These guys are all likable but I have always said that most would not start on a championship team of the past. Heres to hoping for another late season run.
