Man - I know we gagged against Kansas a couple years ago, but this is an epic implosion by Duke.

I didn’t watch until last 30 seconds because it seemed Duke had it comfortably in hand. Up by 14-15 in the second half.

I heard Duke scored one fg in last 10 minutes. Hard to imagine that many really talented offensive players seizing up and they couldn’t run a play to get a shot for Flagg or nipple

Duke won a lot of games this year including some good wins in ACC. But super weak ACC did not really ready this team for playing big boy knock down drag out death battle gritty defense game like I’m guessing tonight was.

Now the title game will be worth watching and should be a good game. I’d like Fla to win but if Houston wins that’s fine too. They deserve it by knocking out the espn / media darling 24/7 lovefest with Duke.

And while I never engage with them I am getting great delight in the presumed meltdown by fans of how they have gagged away a couple title shots recently. First vs us with Caleb and now with Houston stepping up.

No denying Duke has underachieved massively recently in ncaa tournament. More underachievement than any team that comes to mind

Respectfully, we should probably not talk much about underachieving.
Making the final four is never an underachievement. If it were, UNC 91, 95, 97, and 98 please stand up. Only the 1993 team got the job done in what was the best decade in UNC hoops.
Auburn and Duke, or the two best teams in college basketball this season. The NCAA tournament has never been about the best team that season… More so about who can put it all together for a run. The ball bounces in so many ways.
Let’s enjoy the Duke loss, but we have had our own gut wrenches losses.

1998 Elite 8 loss to Kensucky is in that conversation, they were up 18 in the 2nd half & K crapped the bed. That would have been his 3rd title, they would’ve beaten Utah in the final after we shit the bed ourselves.

I have to say I find this taking pleasure in another team's defeat surprising and disappointing. Duke made it to the Final Four and deserves all.....sorry, thought I could get this out without falling to the floor laughing. Couldn't be more thrilled to see them choke and not make it to the finals. ANYONE but Dook.

there are two things I enjoy about college sports: a) rooting for the teams I like (especially my undergrad alma mater: UNC) and b) rooting against the teams I hate (especially those arrogant jerks called dook)

Nice. I've been pointing this out for a long time. A poll would be a better way of selecting the best team, just as it used to be in football. The NCAA is just a tournament. Hold it three times with the same teams, get a different winner each time, most probably. That being said, if I had my way the tournament would be fewer teams playing double-elimination or some format that actually favors the best team winning.
