Exactly who have they beaten that's any good? Ole Miss? Georgia? Coastal is underperforming, eh? But the SEC is stocked with strong teams?

Well surely vaunted Alabama has had a tough schedule and really deserves it. Well, maybe not. They beat LSU who hasn't really beaten anyone that has beaten anyone of significance. And they beat Wisky, arguably who doesn't deserve to be rated above Pitt. Other than that, who? Are their wins really better than our's?

I don't think so.

Sept. 5, 2015 Wisconsin W 35-17 1-0
Sept. 12, 2015 Middle Tenn. W 37-10 2-0

They lost to ole miss. We lost to scar. End of discussion

Not talking about them compared to us. But do they really deserve second place and in discussion for first?

Wasn't really comparing them to us in terms of the loss but our wins are disrespected and their's are respected. Exactly why is that? Wouldn't be surprised to see LSU lose to Ole Miss and Wisconsin lose as well. LSU would probably still be ranked but they'd be the only ranked team Alabama would have beaten and not in the top 10.

Hardly an awesomely difficult schedule. Middle Tenn, Charleston Southern, ULM......had those teams been on our schedule, people would argue we had a very weak schedule, had hardly beaten anyone, yada, yada, yada.....

Paul Finebaun does not approve randman1's message.

We'll see how things shake out. Bama may win out and win the SEC but it's not a given.

I think he and many have some misplaced confidence in Notre Dame. Bet Stanford beats them. Dreaming Boston College will though....:)

We should be ranked higher than where we are, but y'all sound silly talking about Bama. They're the best team in the country by a ways. I think this year's Carolina could play with (play with, not necessarily beat) any team in the country save for two: possibly Ohio State and definitely Alabama. The Tide would whip us by 21 points and D. Henry would run for 240 yards.

Yepp when i watched bama they were putting in 5-star recruits at GARBAGE TIME. We're talking tops in their positions in the nation as recruits!

How much of the rankings are what we know, and how much are what we see though? Like, even if Alabama were to lose against Auburn to close out the season, and then follow that up with a loss to UF in the SEC title game, and were then put in a bowl game against the Heels, they'd still be 7+ point favorites over UNC. But even though Bama would be the better team, wouldn't UNC deserve to be ranked higher with only 1 loss compared to 3?

You know, Alabama has a lot of talent and are a great team. My brother thought they'd win it all last year in the playoffs, and I thought Ohio State would based on how each were playing. It's not just talent but what you do with it, how well you are thinking and playing.

What I love about the Heels this season isn't just winning. It's the attitude, the positive effort that is so on target we execute at every position. It's the little things I see on the field at every position and the chemistry/camaraderie where guys live up to or seem to exceed their talent. This is a special team. We'll see if they keep it up, but if they do and keep improving, I think they'd beat Alabama or anyone.

The Gators have a killer schedule that should be respected. The proof is that they beat FAU in OT.
