Linda "Mama" Woods Has Passed Away

My heart is very heavy guys and have shed more than a few tears for her passing, she was mom to so many players and was Coach Smith's and Gut's right hand.

I would like to see a banner in the Smith Center acknowledging Her contributions to Carolina Basketball over the years.

I never went to the basketball office that I did not get a mandatory hug from Mrs. Linda, followed by what have I been eating and are you paying attention in classes, and let me see the grading so far this semester. You did not disappoint Mama Woods.
You simply just didn't.

Thoughts and prayers to all who are impacted by this. I have several friends who played at UNC, most of them walk-ons, and their interactions with her were the same. Another example of why other schools can try to imitate but can never duplicate the Carolina family.
