How is it possible for the human body to produce so much f'ing snot?

(side note to all parents - if your kid is sick, KEEP THE BASTARDS HOME).

TIA

I agree. I'm sure I've been a little quick in the past to get my kid back to school though. But it does piss me off when I see a parent dropping a kid off and you can tell he or she is way too sick to be at school. But I feel for parents as well. Many of them don't have the luxury of staying home with a sick child. It could mean them losing their job. It's a tough spot to be in. My job is flexible so it's not a huge deal for me.

But on the flip side, because my kids got sick all the time when they were at daycare, they hardly ever get sick now. So it kind of worked in my favor. You're probably just not there yet.

I understand. I'm just biased at the current moment b/c I'm on week two now of my body seemingly producing an endless supply of snot and it's driving me insane. And I know I got it from our daughter, who caught it in her Kindergarten class.

I had a sinus infection once. Was pretty much over it for a couple weeks but still had a lingering head ache and general blah feeling. Was washing my car and bent over to wash the wheels at a car wash when my head let loose like ten lbs of green snot that just started pouring endlessly. Man did i feel better after that!

I just finished a round of antibiotics for a sinus infection. Those are brutal indeed.

One of my karate students kept scratching her head in line. I asked her what was the prob and she said she had head lice. I immediately quarantined her in the corner. When her dad came i asked and he said they knew but told her not to touch anyone.

I know its not for everyone and i'm not even sure i would do it again but our kids were breast fed (lucky bastards) and home schooled and no lie neither ever were more sick than an occasional runny nose. No chk pox, ear infections, flu, stomache virus, pink eye...

It's Virginia, for me. When I lived in Wilmington...never sick. But I grew up in Virginia...ear infections weekly as a kid. I get sinus infections now about 5 times per year. I was tested for allergies and found that I'm allergic to 95% of the environmental factors of this area. I literally cannot wait to move. If I never see another oak tree in my life, I'll die a very happy person.
