I strongly believe that an aspect of great coaching is putting a kid in a position to succeed, what does that mean? For me it means you put a kid in a position to be able to use most often the best part of his game and you work to improve the weak parts of his game in practice. It made zero sense to me to use Seth as a 2 guard with on last season's team required him to take a lot of jump shots, for the record I didn't want Leaky to play the point for us, and I sure didn't want Bacot trying to be a wing.
RJ at the point IMO, limits him rather than expands him, best part of his game is his own shooting and the occasional drive, I do not see him as even a on par passing facilitator, in other words he to me is a tail back rather than a QB. RJ wants to play the point for us because he knows the NBA would only really consider him as a PG, problem for him to be the best player he can be he needs to play at the 2 and frankly, the NBA is not RJ's future other than maybe a 2 way contract and in large part because he is a short 2 guard that is way out of his depth as a NBA PG, his money will be made across the pond.
I think RJ can become a fantastic college 2 but I don't really ever see him as the PG I want starting for UNC.
