Looks like its Orlando for the ACC Championship game

Charlotte has just lost a fortune because of the riots. It needs the money.

I heard if you want to see HB2 repealed let it mess with Tar Heel basketball. Well it just messed with Tar Heel basketball and Tar Heel football. Either via the court or via the legislature, HB2 is now dead. Now if only our idiot legislators realized that and would stop throwing gasoline on the tire fire they started we can get our games back.

Playing in Orlando isnt a bad thing for the ACC ... they should market package tickets to all the schools ,,, " Take your family to enjoy the game and vacation spots" ... could work. BUT the main thing is that FL is a huge recruiting state ... we put out a ton of talent ... get to Orlando and there will be a lot of visibility. With 2 ACC schools already in the state they could push the brand even more ... just my two cents.

Being a Tar Heel fan in NC I was really hoping to be able to see my Heels in the title game in Charlotte. I can't go all the way to Orlando for it. I was also looking forward to seeing the basketball team (hopefully) play in Charlotte and Greensboro all the way to the Final Four. Well that went out the window in this tire fire too. Do we still have the bowl game at BofA stadium? I usually go to that even when we aren't playing in it.

As of right now, the Belk Bowl still intends to stage the game in BofA Stadium as scheduled on December 29 (http://www.bizjournals.com/charlott...owl-organizer-on-games-fate-in-charlotte.html).

Personal politics aside, it's ridiculous that our elected representatives can't come to the table and hammer out a compromise that is satisfactory for all parties. This is essentially a non-issue being used for political posturing in an election year. Meanwhile, considerable financial damage is being done to the state's economy and its citizens whose livelihood depend on it. Enough already.

That's the thing. The law is amazingly unconstitutional and the DoJ is taking us behind the woodshed for it. You can't compromise with an illegal law. It's a zero sum game. If we can repeal it now in a special session *maybe* we can get our games back next year, If we have to wait around on the courts or SCOTUS we won't get our games back for several years.
