He can have a very positive impact on our future. Great!
Washington and his family loves and bleeds Carolina blue, the school sticking with Jalen and supporting him during all his injuries and rehabilitation.
If Washington can stay healthy and get stronger then he will be a great asset.
Not sure why everyone is so excited to get these guys back. Look at this year and last without the 6 game run.
In my opinion, Washington has the most upside and can be special with the right coaching.
Was hoping that he would disappear when it became apparent that he had no clue.
Really? So it seems like quite a few of you are very happy with the results this year and are happy for some returners. I don’t recall this enthusiasm during the ugly season and the NIT decline.
Or maybe it is just some of you who like to bully people on message boards.

It’s a shame that we even have to wait for players to announce their plans. The new age of the scholarship and nil. Just keep your word and stay.
I bet players thought that to themselves everytime their coach left them for more money.

I'm hoping he has a very productive off season in the weight room. Not sure if he can get some of his lateral movement back after the multiple knee issues, hopefully he can. He struggled moving laterally especially when "put into the wash" on picks. Big potential, get back to confident moving big fella, looking forward to his sophmore campaign.
Jalen Washington is a immense talent, he has more NBA level upside than anyone we have so why would UNC fans be anything but excited for his return?
The great news about Jalen is he made it thru this season and did not re-injure that knee!~ It is well known, you may be able to play per the doctors a year after surgery it is but in basketball circles it is always 2yrs rather than 1 before you can play like you did prior to the procedure. So now Jalen can and must focus on just getting physically stronger, working on his stamina, and hopefully packing on as many pounds as he can and not be moved around as easy. From what I hear, in practice, his turn around jumper was nearly unstoppable and can be a the shot blocker we need but he was just to lite and the staff had the constant fear of playing him to much and risking him hurting that knee again. I think at 235lbs the kid may be a NBA lotto level guy, he has some abilities you just can't teach, you have to be born with. Now if he can get his whole body in condition to play extended minutes, we could have our next big time guy, have to wait and see the results of this off season.

How many coaches leave every year? This is becoming an every year problem with these guys thinking they should all play 30 minutes a game.
I'm ok with making them sit out a year again if the coaches have to sit out a year too. It's weird that we treated the kids like adults and adults like kids.
I have no problem with releasing the kids if the coach leaves but good lord leaving every year if you’re not playing as much as you think you should. That’s my point
Or leaving if you want to go to a better school and get paid more. Like the coaches do.
Upside of Washington is better than Styles or Puff, and he actually will play down low along with Bacot.
Is it official that Washington is staying? That tweet sounds that way but I don't speak twitter well enough to know for sure. Has there been a plain English announcement?
I never had a problem with coaches leaving and going straight to a new school for a JOB. They are getting paid. Lol that said, now kids are getting paid, so hard to argue that they need to set out a year.
I'm fairly certain Coach Dusty May will avail himself to "the portal" and look over what his best option may be for next year and beyond.
