Louisville QB Will Gardner who didn't play in 2015 will be transferring and be eligible immediately. I bet doreen is dialing as we speak.

Since he's a graduate, I do not believe the school has any control over where he transfers. He can transfer to any school that offers a graduate degree program that UofL doesn't.

To answer the other question, he was injured early in fall camp this year and did not play all year. It is very likely that he has both a 5th and 6th year of eligibility ahead of him.
