Love Me Some Theo Pinson

Man, let me just say I love all the ways this kid can make his presence felt on the court. He can pass, score, rebound, and most importantly he seems to be the guy most likely to get the team and crowd hyped up. He really has the opportunity to be our next Danny Green type player who stuffs the stat sheet. I don't even need to talk about the sick spin move from last night, but the thing that caught my eye the most was from the 2nd half. At one point, Joel James get a put back I believe and as they are running back down the court, you can see Theo really showing Joel some love and getting him pumped up. I also love that he tries to get the Smith Center crowd to stand up and cheer (lord know we need that unless we are playing Duke it always seems). Looking forward to watching this young man this season!

Theo has impressed me a lot, I wonder what level he'd be playing at had he been able to stay healthy last year and had an opportunity to put in some serious summer work on his skills.

When they showed the replay Isaiah was over at the bench and reading lips said out loud "what?"....he was stunned. Kinda funny.

Now if Hubert could work on Theo's jumper....

Theo is Danny Green v 2.0. He's not the threat from deep that Green was by his senior season yet, but Pinson contributes in every column of the box score and even does the things that don't show up in the box score. He's going to be a REALLY good defender by his senior season.

I agree with the OPs assessment of Theo to date. I will add, I wonder how our NCAA tourney might have gone last year had Theo not missed so much important developmental time earlier in the season. Oh well, water under the bridge and all that. Hope we get to see him ALL Season this year and next!

Theo is the unsung leader of this team..not 'the' leader...Brice and Marcus..but the team FEEDS off his confidence, charisma and toughness..for a such a likable young man, he's tough and wants only to win! Couldn't care less if he scores 20..that's why Roy saw a better fit than JP.
