Mack Brown Statement On Tez Walker & The NCAA

About process, not people. Perfection right there. I hope there are ways that the school can find to impact the persons at the NCAA that are responsible for this mess professionally and potentially get them replaced by people who actually care about the kids.

I'll be shocked if they can find someone like that with so much money involved. Autonomy is the best answer and with all these super conferences starting, that's going to happen sooner rather than later. Especially if the ACC breaks up and we're left with two mega conferences.

This gives me an idea for a daily drop or article, @andrew jones. I know you'll be busy with writing/talking about the games for awhile, so this might be something that you would have to do down the road, but as kind of a follow up to conference expansion.

The Tez situation and expansion being good reasons for autonomy. The Tez situation would probably never happen and with these mega conferences being unmanageable, it being easier for an NFL type setup. Have a Western conference and an Eastern conference. Both having something like four divisions of eight. Then just have division winners go to a playoff. Regular season TV money split equally and playoff money going to participating teams.
