Mack Hollins broken collar bone

Out for the season? Isn't it normally a 6-8 week recovery time?

He's our best deep threat so this really sucks for him as well as the team.

also great blocker and special teams player. I think you are correct on the 6-8 weeks My guess would be back for bowl game or ACCCG if we are so fortunate to be in it..

It didn't seem like he was hurt that bad in the play, but obviously he was. That's going to hurt. Fortunately, we have a good receiving corps and can keep the momentum rolling. Maybe this will allow Bugg to get the Davis-touch.

He's done. Him trying to force his way back on the field for 1-2 games would be a mistake with a spot on a NFL roster looming on the horizon.

Get healed up and train for the NFL, Mack! It's been nice watching you play during your Tar Heel career!
I think you are correct. If the injury were in Game 1 or 2 or 3, different story.

And hopefully Ratliff-Williams feels the kick in the seat of his pants.

I just wonder how much of an impact this will have on our offensive impact and success.

He's going to be truly missed

mixed feelings on the player...don't wanna see anyone hurt, but he'll be missed most on specials.

he's a decoy on offense apparently this year...he runs the nine route and he's okay blocking.

when he was mouthing off early i kept thinking karma was gonna get him.

Seriously dude? Because Mack is the only guy on our whole team -- much less all of college football -- that mouths off. Have you not seen our DBs play? Donnie Miles toed the line of unsportsmanlike conduct after basically every play against Miami lol.

Kind of a dumb comment, fam. Not gonna lie.

i don't know where you missed my poast...i don't like it at all, have commented numerous times about dom greene flexing and yapping after a simple tackle...my point is, for a guy that catches a deep ball once a half, and pay attention @JimmyinVA, makes a tackle on specials because he's a good gunner, he sure does like to look in the stands and yell at opposing fans or flex a bicep...and i don't know what he says to the players on the field, but he looks foolish out there.

he'll be fine by the combine, and maybe the bowl game...i hope for speedy recovery for him.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina senior wide receiver Mack Hollins had season-ending surgery to repair his right clavicle Sunday by Dr. Jeff Spang at UNC Hospitals. Hollins, a native of Rockville, Md., suffered the injury in the Tar Heels’ 20-13 win at No. 16 Miami.

I like the kid a lot. Sorry to see this and it does hurt the team more than a little

I would like to see this young man get back to 100% and get a shot at the NFL, where I truly believe he can play and play well.

get well soon Mack
