It's possible he might make the basketball team also. Never hurts to be able to catch the ball. But I notice that he traveled after the catch......

Seriously, one of the few astute observsations from ol' Billy Packer was that catching the ball was one of the most undervalued skills in basketball, especially for Bigs.
I would advise anyone to pay attention to the difficult catches guys like Brice and Hicks and Meeks made routinely in traffic that we came to take for granted... and then think back to how much more effective, say, Joel James would've been had he been able to make those catches --- or even routine ones --- consistently.

Manley punched the defender in the mouth with his off hand on that catch. And if I recall correctly, he's the one that gave Huffman a concussion because of a swinging elbow. It appears Manley has a problem with swinging his big meat hooks around. I like it.

He seems to have good feet/agility as well as good hands. And did you notice that he didn't pose or flex or spike the ball after making a circus catch? He's going to surprise a lot of people this season.
