I would guess he is looking to go somewhere to pick up experience to become a coach. I can't see him starting at any P5 or winning G5, or playoff caliber 1AA/FCS.

And it makes me wonder about Nathan Elliott. He clearly has 4th most talent of our remaining 4 QBs. Does he want to try to be a starter on a G5 or a 1AA with playoff hopes? Or does he want to spend a year under Mack, which could be a really big boost if he hopes to become a TX HS coach.

Even KU should have a 2nd team QB better than Manny Miles. But all teams need the emergency 3rd team QB, and that would give Manny a year with his dad.

It probably would be an ugly year, but he will have his degree and could get close to a Masters, while perhaps making new contacts to help him get into coaching.
