I'm a Bombay Sapphire, extra dry, very slightly dirty, served ice cold with 3 olives kinda guy . .

How do you like yours . . ?

Gin is about the only alcohol I do not really like. Tastes like a pine tree to me. So, Martini's are not my thing. More of a scotch guy. I like vodka martini's, but being a former bartender, I only considered gin martini's the real thing.

Although, I pride myself on being able to make a real good martini. Especially since my mother had me making them for her starting at 8 years old.

Louigi . . so what might be your favorite scotch . . . ?

I got sick on scotch back when I was about 25 yrs. old, since then, I haven't been able to drink it . . spiced rum is the same, got sick on it when I over did it and I have no tolerance for it now.

Macallans. The scotch has to be single malt, not a blend. Blends will get you sick easier.

I got sick on blended scotch and had similar reaction.

I'm a Balvenie guy myself. Doublewood is my regular, but for my 50th birthday in November my golf buddies made incredible donations to my bar. Oban Distiller's Edition, Glenmorangie, Balvenie Doublewood 17 and Sherry Cask 15, Aberfeldy 18...and a few nice bourbons...Blanton's, Willett, Bookers, 1835. Tough to come home to that everyday!

I'll do vodka martini every now and then. Extra dirty, Tito's, extra olives.

I just stopped in to see what douchebag posted "shaken, not stirred." To my delight, Heels Noir hasn't posted in this thread yet.
