From the Maui Invitational:

Seven teams from the 2015 and 2016 Maui Jim Maui Invitational fields earned berths in the NCAA Tournament. Three earned No. 1 seeds, including 2016 Maui Jim Maui Invitational participant North Carolina, continuing the Maui tradition of welcoming the nation’s best teams to the island each year. In addition, five teams from the 2017 Maui Jim Maui Invitational that also made the NCAA Tournament.

No. 1 Seeds With Maui Ties

· Three teams from the 2015 and 2016 Maui Jim Maui Invitational fields earned No. 1 seeds

o Kansas: 2015 Champion is top overall seed in the South Regional
o North Carolina: 2016 participant is the No. 1 seed in the East Regional
o Oregon: 2016 participant is the No. 1 seed in the West Regional

Maui Jim Maui Invitational Teams in the NCAA Tournament

· 2015 teams in NCAA Tournament: Indiana, Kansas, Vanderbilt
· 2016 teams in NCAA Tournament: North Carolina, Oregon, UConn, Wisconsin
· 2017 teams in NCAA Tournament: Cal, Michigan, Notre Dame, VCU, Wichita State

2015 and 2016 Teams Already Champions

· Four teams from the 2015 and 2016 Maui Jim Maui Invitational fields also secured their respective regular-season championships, including the ACC (North Carolina, 2016), Big 12 (Kansas, 2015), Big Ten (Indiana, 2015) and Pac-12 (Oregon, 2016) conferences
