You know there is much work to do in order to get the program back close to where it assumes it should be, and you hire a guy with 0 HC experience primarily because he is an alum?Payne has a lot of work to do, going to be a long season for the Cards.
The ACC is off to another very bad start to the non conference matchups (not Virginia). Have to at least be respectable for overall NET ratings. After last year, I thought they would bounce back, but ouch so far. That Big 10/ACC challenge may be vital to save some overall value within conference.Louisville looking 0-6 straight in the eye before getting off the island.😟
Agree 100 percent. The conference as a whole needs to step up during the Big 10/ACC challenge, if not the league will not garner any respect on their work during the season. The gap between the top teams in the ACC play so far suggest that some teams are really bad so far. But they have any opportunity to improve as the season progresses. The ACC is off to another very bad start to the non conference matchups (not Virginia). ACC basketball may never again be what it was for so long because football is 4 or 5 times bigger than basketball and the ACC has always let football slide, which means the ACC has let the conference slide, which is the reason that the ACC may be irreversibly set up for quick death as soon the end of the GOR is closer. The ACC is off to another very bad start to the non conference matchups (not Virginia). To be honest I do have to agree with your post.ACC basketball may never again be what it was for so long because football is 4 or 5 times bigger than basketball and the ACC has always let football slide, which means the ACC has let the conference slide, which is the reason that the ACC may be irreversibly set up for quick death as soon the end of the GOR is closer.
If you realize how far behind you are in football prestige and respect and money, you then shift money and energy from basketball to try to save the conference. And that leads to weakening basketball. But that is your only choice short of of ending ACC football and hoping to be another Big East, which also will weaken basketball.

Why are you even posting here? You don’t give a damn about any sport other than football, you’re just here to talk more shit. Your beloved football is what’s going to be the complete ruin of college sports. Don’t try to blame basketball for ruining the ACC, it‘s football money greed and fans like you which are squarely to blame.ACC basketball may never again be what it was for so long because football is 4 or 5 times bigger than basketball and the ACC has always let football slide, which means the ACC has let the conference slide, which is the reason that the ACC may be irreversibly set up for quick death as soon the end of the GOR is closer.
