No matter how nice of a player Rowon is, he will not progress in Raleigh as much as he could at other places (imo). Ncstate alums aren't exactly burning up the Nba and they have not ever done so...

Well, I don't know what kind of kid he is, but... that recruitment has been rumored shady for a while, especially when the talk of him reclassifying started surfacing. Suddenly the only serious players were the sleaziest (Petino, Gottfried).
Heard differently. Was a case of his father wanting Louisville badly. Even saying he was going there. The kid not really wanting to. Pitino thought he had him locked up to no longer wanting him when maverick bashed UL or going there in an interview.
Any links to this shadiness u speak of? So was he and his family shady? Gottfiried, Pitino, and Lavin (St. Johns) shady?? Who and what was actually shady about his recruitment?
Again, nothing one way or another on Mav himself, just that word was going around recruiting circles for a while of certain "expectations" from his dad and perhaps others (I do know that Roy was wary of it)... and who knows, it could explain what jericho mentioned in his post about this dad wanting Louisville so badly.

Had heard pops was a little to controlling thru the whole process. Fact? Who knows, it was out there that's all I know.
Offers can be rescinded with out actually being rescinded , all you do is stop contacting the player.
Yep, there are things as an uncommittable offer, but, rarely does UNC come out and say that an offer has been rescinded.
Rowan was listed as holding an offer was my point.
