I am getting more and more comfortable with next years starting bigs. It is ridiculous to think Luke would be this impressive as a Soph. Bradley will be an absolute beast with a summer of conditioning.
Overmatched physically maybe, but there's not a player out there with more desire. He wills his way to a LOT of the rebounds he gets.Agree. Luke still gets overmatched at times but his heady play and aggressiveness around the basket have been invaluable in the post season.
Exactly. There's a ton of fight in that dog.Overmatched physically maybe, but there's not a player out there with more desire. He wills his way to a LOT of the rebounds he gets.
Same here....at least a couple....even if he doesn't make 'em, he has made enough to make the defender have to play him all the way to the 3 point line and opens up the lane.I'm okay with him taking threes at this point too.
Never said he shouldn't...just asked if anyone else heard Chris say that!!!If Tony gets a lottery grade then why not go ?
Late first round grade can easily be improved.

While I agree with your post, I am still hoping Knox commits and Roy goes with a "positionless" starting lineup with Pinson/Knox at the forward spots.I am getting more and more comfortable with next years starting bigs. Sorry I was waiting to see if Webber was trying to call a time out and wasn't paying attention to any of his commentsNever said he shouldn't...just asked if anyone else heard Chris say that!!!
He should absolutely not go. He is not ready. He has an opportunity to return, develop his game and be a star here next season. Then the sky's the limit for his draft stock.Never said he shouldn't...just asked if anyone else heard Chris say that!!!
Don't you mean "the ceiling is the roof" for his draft stock? He should absolutely not go. He is not ready. He has an opportunity to return, develop his game and be a star here next season. Then the sky's the limit for his draft stock.
Not to mention his opponent needs to cover him everywhere. His heart is pretty darn big as well despite his limitations.Agree. Luke still gets overmatched at times but his heady play and aggressiveness around the basket have been invaluable in the post season.
I just hope Luke comes back next year.![]()
Tony has a solid foundation with his dad, and he came to UNC on a smart 3-year (or 2-if-he-blows-up) plan. That is, and continues to be, Tony's best course. The idea that anyone --- especially anyone on this board --- would say that he would be smart to leave is patently absurd.Tony, with another year of Jonas' and Roy's help, will be a possible lottery pick after next year. He knows that.
Anyone telling Tony he's a lotto now is just plain lying. If any player is told he will be a lotto pick then he should go if he feels he has the maturity. Risk of injury is too high not to go.
I completely agree. It was more a general statement. I believe after an offseason training and being the go to big next year he will be lotto bound.Anyone telling Tony he's a lotto now is just plain lying.
Anybody else hear Chris Webber make reference to Tony being gone after this year....he said something to the effect that Tony would be in the league next year!!!!
Conditioning. Most concerning thing for Tony being the anchor next year is can he stay on the court for 25-30 minutes each night? For sure Luke and Tony play well together/compliment each other as players.Everything I've seen is projecting him as an early 2nd rounder. He has the physical gifts, but could use some polish for sure.
Chris Webber is a very good analyst and I would prefer him over Grant Hill on the first team.Sorry I was waiting to see if Webber was trying to call a time out and wasn't paying attention to any of his comments
