Miami has now lost 3 conference games in a row. Hard to believe they were in the Top 15 a few weeks ago.

And Miami has a lot of talent on that team. But I never underestimate Bud Foster and his ability to field a good defense. His teams consistently put pressure on opposing QB's. Kaaya was under pressure all game long. I would love to have Foster as our DC. He may be the best in the league, considering that he has good, but not great, talent. Give him FSU or Clemson's talent to work with and they'd be top 5 defensively.
Also, Evans(a JUCO player BTW), is a load to deal with. He played for the Air Force Academy in '13 before transferring to Trinity Valley Community College in Texas. He may be playing on Sundays in another year or so. Classic example of a guy who we'd never get through admissions though.

I get what you are saying and understand the stigma that comes with JUCO players but for the kids sake please look at these situations before opining. Jerod is a good kid who went to JUCO to give himself a chance to bounce to another school.
VT doesnt accept JUCO transfers if they would not have qualified coming out of high school. He went to Air Force because they were the only school giving him a chance to play QB out of high school. On top of that, if he could get in to Air Force his grades were obviously in order.
You're confusing us with people who care.
Fair, and understandable given this is a UNC board, just dont agree with classifying a kid, regardless of team, based off of decisions he made to best succeed. I thought I would provide clarification.

Once again fair and understandable. I have been around long enough reading these boards to know about the bad blood. With that said, you can see I have 3 total posts. While I may have read there I havent posted and never felt the need to associate myself what was posted there. I didnt come in here spouting off or talking rude. Just because others may have been out of line doesnt represent the whole fanbase and shouldnt stop all conversation between fan bases.

You can post here all you want. I have no problem with you or Evans. JUCO is a perfectly legitimate way to boost one's own stock and end up at a better program. We have a LB on the team that did the same thing.
I'm not a big VT fan, not gonna lie. But I don't hate them as much as some UNC fans do.

Once again, who is "us"? Also, the poster is not "correcting" you. He is simply pointing out that Evans has very solid grades and had the out of High School. Common sense tells anyone in America that if you get into Air Force, you are solid academically. The service academies do not give exemptions for athletes either. Also, the poster you are hammering does not represent "all" VT posters or "the entire message board for VT." He is one person.

I smell anger. It is said that anger stems from frustration. Frustration is prevalent when rational thought, reason, and facts are not considered, but emotion takes over. All of the above suggests a level of immaturity or simply put, a lower IQ.
Now, back to the facts. Evans had a 3.6 GPA in High School and scored in the 80th percentile on his ACT. To gain admission to a service academy, one has to also get a congressional recommendation. Therefore, (and again, back to FACTS) it WOULD NOT be difficult to get Evans "through the UNC admission process." It would in fact, BE EASY to do based on his academic background and history. Now, you can get mad, spout off with your emotion because VT stole your girlfriend at the prom or whatever your beef with VT is, but fact is, the poster was wrong about Evans. The above FACTS clearly support my point. Again, as to who cares? Obviously, there is at least 1 UNC fan that does care because he brought it up. You see, common sense tells us that if a fan of a particular program makes a statement or asks a question about a subject, it would be IGNORANT for fans of that same program to write, "who cares" when a response is given from an opposing program.

Isn't that kind of saying he didn't have a high GPA? What other reason would we not admit a JC other than questionable character? I was just a little surprised at the guys who jumped on a poster . who I thought was being respectful , cause as a whole not the usual cast that's prone to that.
