Pretty cool little blog. This guy has a cat he takes camping and rock climbing. I couldn't even fathom putting one of my cats on a leash, let alone trying to take one camping.

Some people I know have their cats on a leash, they started when they were kittens and the cats get use to it.

Love the new profile avatar.... it suits you more! hehe ;)

This is equal parts weird, hilarious, and awesome. I never would have thought to explore the great outdoors with a cat. Go figure.

When I volunteer at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, they let you take cats for walks on a leash or in a stroller. A stroller? Yeah, a stroller. They love it.

I used to dislike cats with a passion. Then, when I was travelling a bunch, my daughters talked me in to letting them get one each as a dog was too much trouble to board when I was gone.

These cats are awesome. They behave much better than the dog.

It's not that I dislike cats or anything, but I just don't ever feel like I get attached to them and vise versa. I feel like, if you have a cat as a pet, it's there simply because you put it there, not because it actually wants to be there, if that makes sense. Basically the opposite of dogs, who are attached and love you from the moment you pick them up for the first time.

Yeah, I thought that was true too, but these cats follow me around, fetch, and come when called.

Don't get me wrong, I love our dog too though, even though he is a 4 legged whoopie cushion.

Gotcha. The reason I ask is that I've known or owned a few male cats who were way cooler than most dogs. Friendly, super chill, and just generally awesome. It's generally the female cats who give the species a bad name.

The male is more social to be sure
