Most Successful UNC Program

So we all know that UNC has many successful sports programs. We also have three programs that I would consider the most dominate in their respective sport historically. I pose this question to you, which is the most dominate UNC program between men's basketball, women's soccer and field hockey? I've included some of the more notable stats below. Select your answer and post why you picked the sport you voted for.

Basketball- 7 national championships (3rd all time), 18 ACC tournament titles, 32 ACC regular season titles, .739 winning percentage (2nd all time), 3rd in all time wins, most final fours 20 final fours (most all time), 50 NCAA tournament appearances (2nd all time), 123 tournament wins (2nd all time)

Soccer- UNC is first all time in basically every important stat. 21 NCAA championships, 21 ACC tournament championships, 22 regular season championships, 37 NCAA appearances (never missed tourney), advanced to at least 2nd round of NCAA tournament every year, 28 college cup appearances, .902 winning percentage

Field Hockey- 35 NCAA appearances, 7 NCAA championships (3rd all time), 22 ACC championships, 23 final fours

But seriously, there have only been 37 NCAA titles in women's soccer (started in '82). We've won 21 of them and were runner-up for another four. That's utter dominance.

Ya, I probably could have negotiated that a little more. I think a football championship would be worth too much for 21 womens soccer championships to buy, but if we could get that deal, I'd be all in on that for sure.

I've pretty much come to accept that the Heels will never win a football chip, and "my" team will never win a super bowl. If either ever happens in my lifetime, I'll probably have a fatal heart attack whilst celebrating. But at least on my way out, I'll have that going for me...

I agree. A football title might be worth all of our women's soccer titles and our women's field hockey titles. But again, sign me up.

As for basketball, one doesn't get us in front of UK. 3 would though.

Playoff expansion would significantly increase our chances of winning one. As it stands right now we basically have to beat a perennial national title contender in the ACCCG just to make the playoffs.
