...and after looking back at the stat sheets and results of the first 8 games, I'm hoping Roy has seen what he needs to see in the early season and settles in on a starting back court of JB and KW. It makes sense for a variety of reasons that many have mentioned here. It gives us our strongest defensive combo and Kenny, I believe, really needs to get comfortable and confident in one role and that should help him step up his offensive aggression (which is the only thing missing in his game right now).
This is not anything against Nate. I believe his best role is a spark off the bench plus it would mean more time together with 7th, and that brings the added benefit of having Nate's experience on the floor to help 7th and have another ball handler who can move to the Point when needed. BTW: Speaking of 7th he had some nice defensive moments Weds, sliding down to help backside and stepping in on a charge. It's running the offense that is his biggest challenge and when he's out there with Kenny that leaves him alone as the only play-maker. Nate being beside him could help with that.
Hopefully beginning Sunday we'll see that and get a solid rotation geared up the next few games and ready for Kentucky and the ACC schedule.
