Moving the start of CBB season back one month..

What genius came up with this? Ratings wise, CBB holds there own against the NFL and NBA so I don't see the logic. And you are willing to do away with the March Madness brand which is one of the most anticipated sporting events.. Pure genius.

As CokeforRoy points out who is in charge of the lack of genius group at the NCAA. I hope the committee puts that to rest!
Dang, get the NFL (Super Bowl is pushing to February) and NHL (a non-sport except to a very small minority) and especially the NBA have seasons that are too long as is...and baseball, heck, World Series pushing toward November? Seriously?
As CokeforRoy points out advertisers will not be too pleased with losing the March Madness marketing push...frankly, none of the pro sports hold me, college football and basketball, to me, are entertaining.

I would be happy if they moved the start of the season in a month, I am fine if they start games in oct, as long as they end them when they do now. The off season is way to long for me, season can not get here quick enough for me.

March Madness is a BRAND..... The NCAA and college BBALL OWNS that month. Now some want to abandon that....... just incredibly stupid.

That would mean that they would be running smack dab into the following..... Opening month of MLB, playoffs ramping up in NBA,, the MASTERS, the NHL playoffs starting, the KY Derby.

This committee needs to shut down and STFU and do something else with its time

No boss, I am not saying end it any sooner, I am saying start earlier and lets enjoy a longer season! LOL

I know, I am speaking purely as a fan but I would be happy if the season began a couple weeks after the last one ended!

Now that's something I could vote for. Start early Oct, add 10 in conf games....most larger conf could now play a true home/away each year for a true conf winner. Now some coaches would object to playing that schedule instead of adding 8/10 easy wins.
