Nate Hobgood - Chittick RIP

on the local news this morning, up here in the Lehigh Valley,Pa., they announced former UNC player Nate Hobgood - Chittick passed away over the weekend. He also had a 5 yr. Pro career and Super Bowl ring w/ the Rams. Friends said it was due to a heart attack.

my intramural bball team got matched up with a team comprising him and Dre Bly. It was early in his tenure, but he was still a hoss. 6'4 probably 250 or 260, supercharged motor, good luck trying to box that guy out. And Dre Bly stole the ball every other possession. There were other football players on their team, but Bly and Nate stood out, obviously they crushed us.

He played on a couple of very fine Tar Heel teams, with tough, tough Ds. He might have been an Academic All-American too.

don'y know about the med history but this friday they are having a celebration of life event in his honor out in El Segundo, CA. He was a financial adviser out there.
