to be a grad assistant at Arkansas St.

I assumed he was planning to go into coaching and would decide what to do for Fall 2019 based on his coaching desires. My advice to him would have been to work under Mack for a year toward that goal.

The potential problem for our team is that if it looks like one of our 3 QBs is definitely #3 after Spring, and that definite #3 is either Fortin or Ruder, he could transfer. That would leave us with 2 QBs with great potential. But what if one of them gets seriously injured?

Anyway, the very best of luck to UNC graduate Nathan Elliott as he pursues a coaching career.

This is now an ESPN story.

That coverage alone is a fairly big deal for us. He was not a winning QB. In fact, the 2 years he had starts the team sucked something awful. So ESPN reporting it to the nation says that UNC football matters, even when a QB who probably had no chance to be higher than 4th team decides not to play as a 5th year SR so he can start coaching as a grad assistant at a G5 school.

It's unfortunate that Elliott did not quite have the skill set to make a lot of the throws that he was asked to make in Fedora's system....He made the best of a bad situation while he was here, and I know that the lack of support from the fans was probably the main reason that he is moving on, and I don't blame him one bit....He did his best under difficult circumstances, and he should be commended for that....

I wish him nothing but the best, and I think that he will be much happier and closer to home at Arkansas State...

As Archer mentioned above, it's going to be interesting to watch the competition for QB, beginning this spring...

Nathan worked hard for carolina. a true student athlete with excellent sportsmanship, he represented the university well. with his knowledge of the game and leadership qualities Nathan will be a fine coach.
