I keep hearing about these recruits consistently state that Kentucky can get them to the NBA and thats why they want to go there. While I understand that they have the most players drafted in the last 5 years, what I don't understand is their lack of understanding that you can get to the NBA from anywhere. Now going to a big school like UNC, dook, or kentucky gets you on TV quite a bit, if you are a great player, scouts will come and see you anywhere. Look at Ben Simmons, he goes to LSU, which is not a power house by any means and he has the potential to be the #1 pick.
It would be one thing if they say they want to win a national championship and i think Kensucky gives me a great chance, then yeah, I get that. But using the NBA pipeline reference to me feels like a weak reason. I could be the only one that feels this way, but I hate when i read that. If you are truly a great player you can get to the NBA from anywhere.
