Watching these playoffs because I'm a basketball junkie. Hard not to yearn for the college game. The majority of these teams might as well just play a series of one on one games and find the champion that way. I think I'll just wait for the finals as that should be good to watch. Anyone else counting the days to Late Night With Roy?

Disagree. I love the star power and having them match up against each other. The NBA game is much more fluid and their offenses run like machines. I love the college game and the passion they play with but it gets brutal sometimes to watch teams struggle to score 70

I have to agree with you. This ain't your father's NBA anymore. With the advent of so many one and dones from CBB, what you now have is a league of young players who play with a lot of energy every night and that talent is spread throughout the league. Sure, you still have your super teams like GS, the Spurs, and to an extent Cleveland, but those teams can be beaten by any other team in the league (not named Sixers).

NBA only gets good for me when UNC has played their last game.

I usually don't start watching until around the Conference Finals, but Curry and the Warriors have been insanely exciting to watch.

I used to hate the nba but noe that all the ppl.i watched in college are in the pros it is enjoyable

So who in the Carolina Fam is playing?

-Vince Carter-Memphis
-Danny Green-San Antonio
-Harrison Barnes-Golden State
-Jame Michael McAdoo-Golden State
-Reggie Bullock-Detroit
-Marvin Williams-Charlotte
-Tyler Hansborough-Charlotte
-Kenny Smith-NBA on TNT

Who am I missing?

I really only watch playoff basketball. As folks said above, it's actually good to see free and fluid movement on the court without all the bullshit hack jobs that college kids/teams get away with. NBA does have some things that work well. 3/4 of the regular season is a joke though with no defense and worthless matchups.

I only watch NBA during the playoffs. Usually after UNC finishes, but this year I have watched a few GS games. They are reinventing the game and Black Falcon is a big part of it! Loved watching Bullock dropping 3's today too!

Go Tar Heels and Go Cavs (1), or Spurs (2) or Warriors(3), lol!

Agree about the Warriors. I was lucky enough to to go see their season closer: 4 heels on the court, season wins record, 3pt record etc.
also there's no doubt HB would be the first or second option on a lot of teams. He's sacrificing personal numbers for team success.

NHL playoffs are a better watch than the NBA playoffs. You already know right now the finals will be Cleveland, and the winner of the Spurs/warriors series. 3 teams have a chance to win it all (which is generous considering the winner of Spurs warriors will most likely beat Cleveland), which doesn't exactly drum up excitement.

GS and SA are very watchable and entertaining. Outside of that, these are boring games to watch unless it's tight in the final 3 min. So much iso, half-assed defense, and ego ball.

outside of GS and SA games, I would agree with the OP, most games are unwatchable and everyone stands around while the guard who brought it down works till he gets his shot and if he can't the recipient of his pass does the same.
Now watching GS and SA who both play team basketball is a thing of beauty.

Pretty much what I was saying. Finals I do watch. Also any game ending close which is a reflection of my love for the game not the majorities of the players or teams.

I'll come down in the middle. The offenses (other than a select few teams) aren't machines, it's the players (being pros) who are the machines. They finish many plays routinely that would draw oohs and ahhs from college crowds. As OP said so much of NBA offense is one-on-one and/or designed pick-and-roll and the 24 second clock IMO is a scourge to good team basketball. I could live with the 30 second clock we had this season, but anything less would wreck the college game.

I watch some NBA hoops but college basketball is the purest form of the sport. I absolutely cringe at he idea of making it more like the NBA, whether rules-wise or officiating-wise.
