NCAA announces it will move championship events out of North Carolina for 2016-2017

reason is political, however in the history of UNC championship teams..the trend has been winning ACC tournament then winning those first/second round games in North Carolina..of course playing up to potential winning can happen anywhere...I do not trust the NCAA/worst case scenario is temporary ban on championship participation period

While I do consider this a worthy topic for this board I do wish the world of sports and the world of making political statements could not have to mix. This is great example just as the current fad of protesting during the national anthem has become prior to sporting events. Sports is where we go to get away from the reality of day to day life, from the real world so to speak. I wish the powers that be could respect that.

I'm for anything that makes Dook play an away game.
As for how this affects us, it will have to wait until March to see if we earn a #1 seed. Anything less than that gives the committee an excuse to send us out to Bumfook for the first two rounds.

Green, they will just move the dukies to MSG so they can play a home away from home game...

Stick to the sports. No anthems, no prayers, no politics, just sports.

Welp. Two bottom lines here.
1. It hurts UNC
2. There are sometimes consequences to wing-nuttery

I wonder how many hundreds of millions it takes for folks to wake up and take our state back.

I like what David said, sports was my escape too, played every sport each season growing up, fall/football, winter/basketball and soccer, spring/baseball and eventually went full time to soccer. So by college I was a soccer player and had a great time in working with my team, in travel, and even tough pre-season practices. We wanted to win and represent ourselves, the team and University well. Playing my sport, enjoying others in their selected sports, enjoying campus, food, friends...it all seems so innocent, almost naïve, now.

Who gives a crap if a trannie wants to urinate in their preferred bathroom. If you need help deciding, look down at you plumbing. I think it's stupid that this is even an issue. I think it's even more ignorant that so many people feel the need to come to those poor abused trannoes who have been subjected to peeing in their own genders bathroom. Politics and political correctness is destroying this country. I mean, what percentage of the country's population does this even affect? Can't be no more than 1℅

sports will always be included with the events of society..did not DES recruit/and stand by Charlie Scott..it was the right course of action..I grew up in N.C...same time 1967 Olympics John Carlos stood during national anthem with raised fist..politics/sports is bad mix...same as big money and corporations and sports

it's all about playing the victim.

It's gotten to the point where there is no longer a democracy or a Constitutional Representative Republic in this country. In the name of the globalist agenda we have been led (brainwashed) by a co-opted and globalist owned corporate laviathon media to believe that what is perfectly normal is no longer normal and that is total BS. I'm with WWJD in that dispensing with the anthems, politics and prayers in all sports may not be a bad thing. jmho
