Please read through the following before submitting your picks.

Changes from previous year's contests:
This year there is a $20 buy-in to the contest. I am doing this in an effort to increase the winner's purse versus my past offering of a $100 first prize and $50 second place prize out of pocket.
I will still be contributing $50 to the second place winner, as well as the second place finisher will be exempt from paying out the $20 buy-in.

This contest is open to UNC fans only.

Offered up is a 13 week contest that will begin Thursday, August30th and end on Saturday, Nov. 24th.

There will be 5 to 7 games to predict each week, with a couple of "Crazy 8" weeks possible if an abundance of good games are available that week. I try to have the games up on the board a full 2 days in advance of the first game and will notify you in the Thread Title if a Thursday or Friday prediction is needed.

Most UNC games will be included depending upon the betting line. After that, I will try to target games that have a 7.5 or less point spread and will fill out the rest with slightly higher spreads of games that are of national, regional or conference interest.

Predictions should be made considering the included Vegas line assigned to each game. Basically, you are predicting against the Vegas point spread . . I use both MadduxSports and VegasInsider in determining the point spreads, but, I will reserve the right to adjust the lines.

***** Note *****

If, you chose to change a prediction, please DO NOT edit your original post. Instead, please go ahead and post that change in a new poast. Your last prediction will be considered your desired one.

If, you are changing a prediction of an 'OPTIONAL" game then please note in your new post which game you are swapping out.

Predictions must be typewritten, it's difficult enough to correctly score all the picks, so, please make it easier enough for me to do so, and your cooperation in this regard would be greatly appreciated, TIA.

At anytime in the duration of this contest please feel free to email me your predictions at . . billyuncblue@hotmail.com and I will post them on the board shortly after the first game begins.

For weeks #11, #12 and #13, changes in predictions will not be permitted after your initial post.

We are all scorekeepers, please alert me to any mistake you may notice.

Scores of games will be posted and the correct predictions will be typed in bold print.

Weekly results and a running leaderboard will be posted as quickly as I can get to it . . I thank you for your patience. This year I will record all un-predicted games as an incorrect prediction.

Highest number of correct predictions after Nov. 24th's games will be the winner. A 'tiebreaker' game requesting a total number of points scored will be chosen from the final week's schedule.

Good Luck to All . . . !

***** New twist to this year's contest *****

I will cover the $20 buy-in fee to the first 3 poasters that put up a perfect score. So, all you have to do is be be very good for one week and this contest will cost you nothing whatsoever, other than the time it takes to make your selections . .

Should there be multiple perfect weeks, the 3 person(s) who have submitted their picks the earliest will be the ones I will cover. Time stamps matter . .

I've thought the Michigan - Notre Dame game would likely be the most difficult pick this week in a week of very tough games to choose, the first 8 players are evenly split on it 4-4.

Only 1 of the 8 has chosen Colorado State.

Okay folks, first place prize money is currently at $180 . . 3 more players and it'll sit at $240.

2nd place is worth $70, $50 in prize money, $20 exempt from payout to the Champ.

Awesome . . With the addition of sctarheel, ohio tarheels and Terror Beard-GSD, we are now sitting at $240 for top prize.

If, we get 3 more folks to participate, then we'll be at $300.

Thanks to all that have joined in this year.

4 of the 5 previous champions are now in the field of play.

Don't get frustrated early on folks, this contest usually totals out at around 92-95 games to predict, and all too many times I have seen several folks go from a fantastic 6-1 one week then a paltry 1-6 the following week, and it's gonna happen this year too . .

Which champion are we missing?

@BillyL

Do you have PMing capabilities? I need an address where I can send my entry fee. I'd rather send it to you now and then you be responsible for the payout. Because I don't venmo or paypal or any of that stuff.
