Seriously, it is rampant. Just for examples remember what JB revealed about the crap that was coming at his family even after he committed.
Among the other attacks I've heard about directed at Roy have been about his health, including playing up his sideline collapses on TV over the past several years, even though it was simply vertigo. They also piled on (as did the media and even some Carolina "fans" on message boards) the false narrative that Roy would soon retire. And I'm sure you'll recall the belligerent delight Roy has taken in dispelling that nonsense --- especially after the Natty.
Let em keep doing it. Shows weakness and insecurity , especially when coaches of other higher profile programs do it.
I just don't get the negative crap when they have actual stuff that they can use (as does every school).
Like if you tell a kid we haven't had an NBA All Star graduate in from UNC in 20 years, that's a fact and something as a parent I would seriously think about. Same with Duke and the transfers and the bigs who haven't developed. Cal's teams underachieving every year but 2012. Zona with no Final Fours under Miller.

Well, that's actually negative recruiting too, but I hear what you're saying --- at least keep the personal stuff out of it.
I suppose our coaches could start saying something like "if wanna stay clear of the FBI, come to Carolina!"

Duke - Bigs flopping. 5 star players sitting then transferring. Not making it out of the first weekend multiple times.
UK - Underachieving constantly. If you don't go to the NBA after your frosh year you will be replaced by a Frosh that will.

The problem for other schools is that our "personal stuff" is now gone. The Heels are back to just being a program rich in history and basketball tradition. And oh by the way, the defending ACC and National Champions!
The worst culprit as it pertains to UNC? Virginia Tech Football. Has been for a decade.
