I’ll start with something food centric:

1. Somm - Documetary about Sommeliers and the training they go through to become Masters. Even if you don’t like wine, it’s a really good watch and you learn a lot about the industry.

2. Mind of a Chef - PBS show narrated by Anthony Bourdain and stars to cool, next generation chefs. First season is great as are the others. It’s less about the food and more about how these guys tick.

3. Ugly Delicious- @toophly1124 will appreciate this. David Chang explores classics American and Western cooking and then compares against his Asian upbringing and experiences in Asian. David Chang is pretty awesome as a host and hilarious.

I’d suggest watching in that order.

Not fimilair w David Chang. I’ll check it out though.
He grew up in Northern Virginia, went to an elite prep school and was great golfer but decided to do something different. Chang brought Ramen to the masses. Hilarious guy too. French trained chef who decided to break a lot of rules and go his own route. Ended up being one of the richest chefs in the world and hates himself for it. He's self-loathing, always drinking, and perpetually angry.

Not Netflix, but in the bad scifi vein, I'm watching The Expanse on Prime Video. It's ok but not great.

Looking forward to the new season of Bosch coming out in the next week or so. That's worth checking out if you haven't and if you like cop shows.

Right now my fallbacks when I run out of those are Peaky Blinders and Jessica Jones (both Netflix). I think I'm somewhere in the second season of both of those.

Those are the shows I watch myself, mostly in bits and pieces on my lunch break.

In the even-more-rare bits of time that my wife and I get to sit down together to watch TV, we generally stick to half-hour comedies; right now it's Schitt's Creek with Eugene Levy. Hit or miss for me, but a couple of the episodes have been pretty funny. Waiting for the second season of The Good Place to hit Netflix.

The second season is even better than the first imo. Michael Schur knows how to do solid comedy, and his ensembles are some of the best in television in recent memory (Parks & Recreation and Brooklyn Nine Nine are also outstanding)

Ozark is good but dark and it's weird seeing Jason Bateman in that kind of role.

I've had a lot of people tell me to watch Stranger Things because it's right up my alley, but I haven't started it yet.

On a whim, I watched GLOW and actually kind of enjoyed it. I watched the full season.

Did @SJung851 lose all interest in TV after starting that thread?
haha. I'm really behind with TV right now. And I usually enter a Netflix wormhole that instead of catching up on TV shows, I typically just watch The Office or Breaking Bad episodes over again.

Caught up on Atlanta... That's an interesting show.

Still need to catch up on The Americans.

Couple episodes into Ozark.

I'm miles behind on Archer.

Then shows I haven't yet started but am planning to: Sopranos, The Wire, Billions.

All of this happening while the weather is warming up, which means I'll naturally not watch as much TV and this vicious cycle will continue into the fall/winter when America gorges on football and basketball for 6+ months.

Peaky blinders is pretty good so far. I just finished the first season
I am halfway done with season 2. The episodes are really long and really intense, so I can only watch one every like week or so haha.

I used to watch A LOT of English soccer, so I've got a great ear for various British accents, but I'll admit even I have to pop on subtitles every once in awhile for that show.

Black mirror is one of the best sci fi shows ever. Loved it. 5/5

Imposters is interesting. Its about grifters. Uma thurman has gotten old. 3/5

Better call saul isnt as edgy as breaking bad but still very good. 4/5

I just didnt like stranger things as much as most did. Still good though. 3/5

Shameless is incredible if u have a hi tolerance for sex (gay and straight), drugs, violence and nudity. 5/5

Troll hunter is a bizarre foreign sci fi flick thats very good. 4/5

I Quit on billions, punisher, glitch, altered carbon, and frankenstein chrinicles 2/10.

I actually liked Altered Carbon. 3.5/5

Longmire has to be my favorite binge show on Netflix the last few years. Really sad when it ended. 5/5

Started Troy the other night and didn’t make it to the end of the first episode. 1/5

Stranger Things was hard to get into for me. Didn’t finish the first season. 2/5

I actually really liked Atypical, too, although I didn’t think I would at first. 4/5

Watched Frontier all the way through but was disappointed overall. 2.5/5

I did watch Shameless, but I have to admit it wore on me after a while. First season was easier to watch than the rest but I found myself forwarding past some of the weirdest stuff in later seasons. 2.5/5

I watched Glow, too, and actually liked it better than I thought I would. 2.5/5

That’s all I have really watched. I am interested in Narcos and Bright. I might start those soon. I want to check out Ozark, too.

Probably gonna cancel Netflix, again, with Susan Rice lying liberal named to the board. Wish they had not named a political hack to their board that has nothing to add. On other hand, who cares?

Although, exited about new season of Bosch on Amazon starting this Friday.

Really? You’d cancel Netflix over Susan Rice?

No, but may be icing on the cake. too many streaming services out there with good content and I have never been a big fan of Netflix. Only reason I have it now is because wife wanted to watch Stranger Things. Not a big fan of Jeff Bezos either.

Godless- Jeff Daniels as a scary outlaw with a 30 member gang, and Wild West lesbians.
How can it miss?

Godless was pretty good. Daniels was a completely different character in it than what he usually plays. Really good in Godless

Forgot that one. 3.5/5

"Atypical" is absolutely hilarious. Its about a high school kid who is on the Autism Spectrum. His social awkwardness is so funny to watch and some of his actions and reactions are great. I work with Special Education students and have had students like the one on the show. Matter of fact, I work with one now that in the 8th grade and watching the show, I think about the kid I work with all the time.

It is very funny. I recommend it highly!

I don't do Netflix but I have a suggestion for something to watch. Y'all gotta see that doc on Andre The Giant. It's currently running on HBO. It's so awesome.
